BattleForge is now free to play

posted in FREE GAMES, MMO, NEWS, PINNED NEWS, RTS, VIDEO | Posted by Angelinux

BattleForge is a next-gen real time strategy game, in which you fight epic battles against evil along with your friends. What makes BattleForge special is that you can assemble your army yourself: the units, buildings and spells in BattleForge are represented by collectible cards that you can trade with other players.

  2. I’ll give this a try me too.

The Client is 2.7 GB (7 gb on the hard disk!!) and is downloaded trough a system similar to guild wars.

Free to play but the virtual “cards” booster are still to be bought right ?

Along with all functionality of the game, BattleForge Play4Free includes two decks consisting of 32 cards. You can play any scenario in the game, including the Renegade Campaign. With BattleForge Play4Free, you are also able to purchase Booster Pack and bid on cards in the Auction House.
However, you can only offer a card in the Auction House once you have reached level 4 in PvE and level 10 in PvP. Direct trades and sending in-game mail with attachments are also blocked until you reach this experience level.

You will receive 8 cards from each of the 4 powers of Frost, Shadow, Nature, and Fire.

In the demo version you could only play a small number of maps. On top of that you could not buy more cards or trade cards with other BattleForge players. These restrictions have been removed and the BattleForge Play4Free replaces the demo version

  5. Tried the game, it’s good for a free, the single player campaign is really enjoyable, great co-op missions mode too, the pvp is the weak part imho.

At Ezzekhiel: you have a basic deck, the booster packs are the ‘cash shop’ of the game.

  6. Good PvE with coop mission up to 4 players
Poor PvP 1v1 or 2vs2 few maps and buy cards is necessary if you dont want loose 90% of the matches
Very good graphics and musics 😀
With same EA login you can play this and bfheroes 🙂 i suggest to try 🙂
