This is not Counter-Strike 2. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is an updated version due out early 2012 for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, PC, and Mac. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive features new maps, characters, and weapons as well as new gameplay modes, matchmaking, leader boards, and more.

No idea most likely it will be a commercial game without cash shop.. but the f2p business model could be an option for Valve.. i would say 50-50.
Definetly they could give it for free to people who already bought CS:Source.. or not?

Cause tf2 has gone free, that’s why some people is speculating that CS:GO could be free on PC.
I know, that’s why I think you will only have to pay if you want some fancy hats.
