Sonic the Hedgehog Megamix (commonly shortened to Sonic Megamix) is a multiperson disassembly modification of the original Sonic the Hedgehog videogame for the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis, headed up by Team Megamix and more recently moved to the Sega Mega CD. The game features the ability to play as one of five different characters: Sonic the Hedgehog, Mighty the Armadillo, Shadow the Hedgehog, Miles “Tails” Prower, and Knuckles the Echidna. It is an extensive reworking of the original game, featuring new art, music, abilities, layouts, and other things.2 Comments »
Was looking at the game Wonderputt a nice mini-golf game, then decided to take a look at the game developer’s portfolio and find out this little gem, a 1995 platform game for Amiga (made by the same author of Wonderputt).1 Comment »
I thought was a good idea to mirror the RGCD magazines…
RGCD is a downloadable CD-ROM based magazine containing the very latest retro reviews, features and developer interviews, providing its readers with an essential one-stop resource for all their retro gaming needs. RGCD’s main focus is on the new releases for 8/16-Bit computer platforms, but also dedicate a good percentage of reviews and feature space to retro look-and-feel PC-based remakes and independent games.1 Comment »
This is an archeological gamer experience, probably most of the people who visit this website weren’t even born when this games were made..
Thanks to the generosity of some of the original creators of the classic games that MAME can emulate, several games have been released for free, non-commercial use.No Comments »
Dolphin is a Gamecube, Wii and Triforce (the arcade machine based on the Gamecube) emulator.
Gamecube compatibility is okay-ish – lots of games work, many games don’t work.
Wii compatibility is not quite as good as the Gamecube compatibility, but many games are playable, and lots of games are showing intros and more.
Triforce compatibility is not really known yet, but at least one game runs, with minor glitches.
This is a working Wii Emulator with a lot of people involved in the project!1 Comment »
