Native Client is an open-source technology for running x86 native code in web applications, with the goal of maintaining the browser neutrality, OS portability, and safety that people expect from web apps.

Basically a plug-in (for browser) and sdk (for developers) to use the browser to run x86 native code.

Hive Rise (mmo-strategy)

Hive Rise is an RTS MMOG: It’s a real time strategy game that is played online with thousands of other players. In short concluded matches each player tries to achieve one of 12 possible objectives.

2023 – Since the wars between enemy nations were dying out at the beginning of the 21. century, someone had to ensure a fresh supply of senseless violence. The solution: Hive Rise! The TV-Show, in which bored millionaires, car tinkers and retired generals can do a live and uncensored arms race.

On a gigantic battleground somewhere in the desert sand opposing camps are neatly lined up. From here the teams are facing each other, using highly specialized mercenaries and the latest military equipment.

Be there when it`s time for everbody against everbody, you against all and all against YOU!

Xenogeddon is a free open-source FPS where you walk around an abandoned ship avoid the enemies that might or might not lay in wait. Your mission is to activate the self-destruct and then escape. Please note that at the moment it is in beta.

Programmed by Stephen Smith (stephen.carlylesmith AT googlemail.com). It’s loosely based on Space Hulk by Games Workshop.

In Warzone 2100, you command the forces of “The Project” in a battle to rebuild the world after mankind has almost been destroyed by nuclear missiles. The game offers campaign, multi-player and single-player skirmish modes. An extensive tech tree with over 400 different technologies, combined with the unit design system, allows for a wide variety of possible units and tactics.

Warzone 2100 was created by Pumpkin Studios, published by Eidos Interactive and is currently developed by the Warzone 2100 Resurrection Project.

UzeBox is priced 95 usd.

The Uzebox is a retro-minimalist homebrew game console. It is based on an AVR 8-bit general purpose microcontroller made by Atmel. The particularity of the system is that it’s based on an interrupt driven kernel and has no frame buffer. Functions such as video sync generation, tile rendering and music mixing is done realtime by a background task so games can easily be developed in C. The design goal was to be as simple as possible yet have good enough sound and graphics while leaving enough resources to implement interesting games. Emphasis was put on making it easy and fun to assemble and program for any hobbyists. The final design contains only two chips: an ATmega644 and an AD725 RGB-to-NTSC converter.
