Guild Wars: Reforged is a remastered edition of the original Guild Wars MMO (2005), released in December 2025 to celebrate its 20th anniversary. It modernizes the classic game with updated visuals, audio, UI improvements, and controller support, with three main campaigns included (Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall) into one package.
STEAM: Players who have previously purchased Guild Wars on Steam will have it automatically upgraded to Guild Wars Reforged in their Steam library and will still be able to log in with their email-based accounts, but they will not be able to create a new account tied to their Steam login.
ArenaNet-Others: You also have Guild Wars Reforged! The client is getting an upgrade, and if you have access to the game, you are going to retain access to all the content that you have already purchased.
