After 8 years and a long silence following the disaster of Dawn of War 3, Dawn of War 4 has officially been announced with a release date for 2026. The game was revealed during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live with a cinematic trailer and snippets of gameplay.

It’s not Relic Entertainment, the studio behind the original trilogy. Instead, development has shifted to KING Art Games, the German studio known for Iron Harvest, a well-received alt-history RTS. The game is being published by Deep Silver, with support from a German video game grant.

For me was a surprise but probably shouldn’t be if we consider the recent release of the Dawn of War Definitive Edition and the Amazon TV show currently in production (with Henry Cavill) about Warhammer 40k.

The developers have stated that Dawn of War 4 is a “return to the franchise’s roots,” with classic RTS mechanics, including full base-building, large-scale battles, and the beloved Sync Kill system.

To be honest i really liked Dawn of War 2 and not much base building, building defense maybe yes building eveytime a new base… not much.

Here’s what’s been confirmed so far:

• Four playable factions at launch: Space Marines, Orks, Necrons, and the debuting Adeptus Mechanicus
• Four story campaigns with over 70 missions, playable solo or co-op
• Classic modes return: Skirmish, Competitive Multiplayer, and Last Stand (dawn of war 2)
• Over 110 units/buildings, customizable with an in-game editor and painter tool
• Story set 200 years after Dawn of War 3, focusing on the Blood Ravens and their battle on Kronos
• Written by Black Library author John French, known for the Ahriman series.

Battlefield 4 will release Fall 2013. The “Fishing in Baku” video is shot entirely in-game and is the first glimpse of the single player campaign in Battlefield 4.

My thoughts: So that’s it? How will be the new Battlefield? Just as the old with a new campaing and enviroment (tropical or no new enviroment at all..)?

There are no informations about the game so some of the questions are:

-Will it have 128 or more multiplayer battles?
-Wil there be mod tools?
-Any new vehicles?
-Attack to the Zombie Fortress with tanks, helicopters and a-10? 😆

Also i wish them to sell a lot, but keep in mind that if EA planning to sell all those miserable map packs like they did in Bf3 i won’t buy this or will buy only when the game is priced five bucks.. 😆

EA announced that those who pre-order Medal of Honor Warfighter Limited Edition prior to the game’s launch on October 23 will receive access to the exclusive beta for Battlefield 4, which is scheduled for Fall 2013.. which means that BattleField 4 will be released in Winter 2013…

Announcing a game 15-18 months before it is released? 😆

5 years of Travian. And Travian 4 is about to launch.
The browser game was created by the brothers Siegfried and Gerhard Müller and their long-time fellow student Holger Miller. Played in up to 42 different languages in more than 50 countries all over the world. With more than 100,000,000 of registered users. Travian is the first free browser game i played and it was a good fun, really nice game.
