Pythetron is an old school 2d shoot’em up (or shmup) built on a modern game engine utilizing advanced physics and 3d environments, with detailed models, animation, and sound. Pythetron takes a new direction in gameplay by allowing the game’s pacing to be controlled by the player and allowing the player to explore the galaxy in a non-linear manner by earning stars and unlocking new worlds.

Karolis Mikalauskas and his team have just released a new project called “Dream Dodger.” It’s a new game about and old man who is trying to escape a retirement home in his dreams and his encounters along the way. The project is now up on Kickstarter.

Skara brings versus fighting online for up to 16 players at a time. The game will be released on Steam Early Access in July 2014. Skara is powered by Unreal Engine 4, and is a free to play game.

Julian Gollop developer of the original X-COM: Enemy Unknown (also known as X-COM: UFO Defense) launched a kickstarter for a new game called Chaos Reborn. The game is based on his own classic ZX Spectrum game ‘Chaos’, first published in 1985 by Games Workshop, Chaos Reborn is part sequel, part re-imagining of that original game.
