This Precious Land game was made for the Ludum Dare 23 Competition, themed “Tiny World” by IshiSoft. This is a sandbox construction game / toy, where the goal is just to make something you feel proud of. It works a bit like Triple Town, with some Settlers influences too. Use a bit of experimentation and trial-and-error to learn how the game’s rules work, and then try and make whatever landscape you feel like. Or, place tiles randomly and see what happens!

FreeTrain is a game by Kohsuke Kawaguchi, written in C# using Microsoft’s .NET platform. It is inspired by the A-Train series of games which focuses on a combination of train and business simulation. FreeTrain is the quintessential sandbox game. First of all, you start in a literal sandbox: a flat barren piece of land greets you when starting a new game. After that, it’s completely up to you to create your world, including natural features such as mountains or lakes.

Speed Dreams is a 3d cross-platform, open source motorsport simulation and racing game. It is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL). For the moment, the supported platforms are Linux (x86, x86_64) and 32 bit Windows. The Mac OS X port is 95% finished.

Wing Commander Saga: The Darkest Dawn has been in development for a decade. Wing Commander Saga: The Darkest Dawn is a free, standalone total conversion project for PC and Mac based on the Freespace 2 Source Code project. Taking place during the time of Wing Commander 3, Wing Commander Saga: The Darkest Dawn features 55 missions, various achievements, over 11,000 lines of dialogue, resulting in over nine hours full voice acting, approximately 70 cut scenes for a total of about 90 minutes of pre-rendered footage (not counting in-flight communications and command briefings), 221 voice acting roles, and more.
