Posted about this game some time ago, decided to re-post this open source game for updating the links and for the good selections of mods.
TripleA is a free turn based strategy game and board game, similar to Risk, or Axis & Allies. Known for its multiplayer on the online lobby, it also allows Play-By-Email and network (LAN) play, as well as single player vs AI or hotseat. It has over 100 games and maps that can be downloaded from the user community. It is open source, needing only Java 8 to run (can run on Windows, Mac, Linux, etc). Supports savegames, encrypted dice gen, low luck, and other options. Recreate World War 2 with the Axis pushing through to Moscow and Japan devouring the Pacific, or recreate Napoleon‘s march across Europe, or Rome defeating the Carthaginian Empire, or even Sauron conquering Middle Earth, or Zombies taking over America! If you have ever played a boardgame with plastic/virtual pieces around, roll dice, conquer the lands of your enemy, & build new pieces to conquer with, you will be able to jump right into TripleA!

CRW Metal Jacket is an isometric strategy game that plays somewhat like the battles in the first X-COM game, except you control mech pilots in a real-time environment fighting insurgents in a futuristic Japan setting. There is no base-building like in X-COM, but you are able to customize you the mechs and upgrade your pilot’s stats however you want with bonus points you earn after each mission they survive. Another game to compare with is Squaresoft’s Front Mission. CRW Metal Jacket actually was released a few months before Front Mission, and the games do share some pretty heavy similarities.
This is an english patch for a japanese game released in 1994. The game requires an emulator to run (PC-98). For windows, linux and mac.

Rockman8-FC is a demake of MegaMan 8 for PSX-Saturn. All the game’s graphics is in 8-bit pixellated style, re-worked levels to be on an NES scale, re-worked the feel and the gameplay to that of the NES titles, and even “chiptune” versions of the music that sound like something fresh out of an NES speaker.
