C-evo is a freeware empire building game for Windows.
With a time scope of several thousand years, it covers aspects of exploration and expansion, industry and agriculture, warfare and diplomacy, science and administration. C-evo follows the spirit of popular turn-based strategy games from the mid 90s, but with more emphasis on powerful AI and careful design of the rules, resulting in a true challenge.

The Sega Lindbergh is a PC-based Sega arcade system from the mid-to-late 2000s, and there are emulators for this system to run on modern computers, primarily Linux. The Lindbergh system was known for high-end games like House of the Dead 4 and Virtua Fighter 5. The Lindbergh Loader is an open-source emulator project that enables these games to be played on platforms like Steam Deck and in retro gaming distributions such as Batocera.

WinBoat is an Electron app which allows you to run Windows apps on Linux using a containerized approach. Windows runs as a VM inside a Docker container, we communicate with it using the WinBoat Guest Server to retrieve data we need from Windows. For compositing applications as native OS-level windows, we use FreeRDP together with Windows’s RemoteApp protocol.

Atollo is an exploration game built on the PICO-8 platform, where players explore a procedurally generated world. As they navigate the seas aboard their customizable ship, players fight aggressive pirates and collect stamps. The development of Atollo required overcoming PICO-8’s strict CPU and memory limitations, challenging me to optimize algorithms and systems to ensure seamless gameplay. By leveraging these constraints, I created a visually engaging experience with complex procedural animations that bring the game’s dynamic world to life.
