Dark Salvation is a Fps horror shooter built using id tech3 engine (Quake 3) and is only for mature audience.
The Digital download version is free. On the Official Site you can buy the limited unrated dual disk edition, so if you like the game or want to support the authors you can do so by buying that edition.

Id’s engines were always good with dark, enclosed places. This doesn’t seem more horror than Quake or Doom though, but definitely fun.
