WarWide è un browsergame online gratuito di tipo strategico/militare ambientato nel mondo reale che oppone migliaia di giocatori, ognuno dei quali e’ Imperatore di un gruppo di citta’ ed ha, come obiettivo primario, l’espansione dei propri domini sottraendo territori e risorse al nemico.
L’elemento innovativo, che distingue WarWide da altri browser game, consiste nella fedele mappa geografica della Terra, perfettamente integrata nel gioco: i giocatori possono interagire con essa, muovervi eserciti, flotte e risorse, battagliare per ogni lembo di terra od oceano conquistabile, tendere agguati ai nemici e correre in soccorso agli alleati.
Ancora, può essere costruita una grande varietà di edifici, possono essere sviluppate le piu’ svariate tecnologie ed unità militari leggere e pesanti, di terra, di mare e di aria, offrendo cosi’ molte varianti e longevità al gioco.
Ogni caratteristica del gioco, in particolare quelle inerenti l’ambientazione militare, sono studiate per essere quanto più possibile fedeli alla realtà.
