Dear Atysians,

Recently we opened the game to every single account for free and removed all restrictions on Unlimited Free Trial accounts making them truly “unlimited”. Since then everyone who ever had an account and wasn’t banned has been able to come and play and we’ve been very gratified to see so many people enjoying themselves on Atys.

Of course we’ve not failed to notice the large number of people who have just learnt about Ryzom recently and can’t wait to sign up and join everyone else. Starting right now we have opened account creation for a limited number of free accounts! If you don’t have a Ryzom account already, hurry and sign up; this will only be possible for a short time because there’s a limited number of accounts to be created across all three communities! If you already play and know some people who don’t then tell them to come sign up and join you absolutely free.

All accounts created during this stage will be able to access the entire game like everyone else, totally free. We’re going to allow more free accounts in stages; what we mean by this is that first we’ll allow a set number of new accounts to be made, and then when this limit is reached we’ll wait a little while and allow some more, and so on. This means that you shouldn’t worry if there are no accounts available when you try; keep coming back again later and maybe there’ll be some more! Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the wonderful planet Atys and everything it has to offer, because once the final limit is reached you won’t be able to create an account in this stage. Remember that all old accounts are still able to connect and play for free as well, so if you ever had an account before; get to it!

-Old account will play free forever. (or until they shut down again)

-New Account (created during stage 4 – now) will play free forever.

-The New (free) accounts are available only for this short time period or until all the ‘spots’ are taken. So hurry up if you wanna register an account…

Google has released its web-browser, named Chrome. From today there is a new option for internet users, that goes to add to mozilla firefox, opera, safari and explorer. ME for now will still use Firefox, but it’s nice to have many options insted of only 1…

Interzone Entertainment has announced Interzone Futebol, a massively multiplayer online sports title which will first release in Portuguese for the Brazilian market, home to millions of avid futebol (soccer in the U.S.) fans and players, closely followed by international versions for worldwide release. Interzone Futebol features team-based multiplayer matches, with every character on the pitch (playing field) controlled by a different player, including goalkeepers who, until now, have always been AI-controlled. During the match, players will improve their skills and unlock new skills and moves. Players will also improve their personal rankings and their team’s rankings, earn money through salary or sponsorship, and customize their character at creation, during game play, and by buying virtual items from Interzone’s online store. Interzone Futebol will be available in Q4 2008.

We have reached our time limit to find a solution that would help us keep the Fury servers open. Sadly, no solution has been found and so we have no alternative than to shut the servers down in 48 hours.

To all those players who have enjoyed Fury and played countless battles, I am sorry that we could not find a viable business model that would allow you to continue playing. To all those naysayers and doomsdayers, we know that deep down you wanted Fury to succeed. Have fun with your parting wishes

To the Auran team, who put their heart and soul into making Fury, thanks for your efforts. As I said many times before, we need to be much better than the competition to have a chance of succeeding. We gave it everything we had and history now judges that it still wasn’t good enough.

Whilst this marks the end of the Fury chapter, who knows what the future may bring. There were many gems hidden within Fury and many lessons learned. Hopefully one day the full potential can be realized in some other form.

So for now, so long and thanks for all the fish.

P.S. We informed all stores more than a month ago to remove stock from their shelves. If you have purchased a copy of Fury in the past month, we suggest you return it to the store.

What can i say? I didn’t have time to try it myself, but discussions and rating around the web, wasn’t very good about this game… If they can’t mantain a couple of servers , which compared to the ‘big bucks’ spent to buy the unreal engine 3 are a pretty low expense, the game had to be really bad…
