The game disk images for unreal and unreal tournament are now hosted on Internet archive and Epic games seems ok with it. Also OldUnreal team is now hosting installers that get the game files from Internet Archive and installs them with the OldUnreal patches to allow the games to run on modern computers.

Unreal Tournament 4 will be done together to the players, when the game will be playable, it will be free. Not free to play, just free. At that point Epic will create a marketplace where developers, modders, artists and gamers can give away, buy and sell mods and content. Earnings from the marketplace will be split between the mod/content developer, and Epic. If you want to contribute to the next UT game, even for just an opinion register a free account with Epic. This is madness!. I don t follow the “professional” gaming, but wow i don’t recall such a big prize for a game tournament.. One Million dollars in cash to the winning team! Valve announced The International. This tournament will be the first time Dota 2 is shown in public, and will take place August 17th – 21st at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. The International features the 16 best Dota teams in the world competing in the Dota 2 Championships through a group stage, double elimination playoff format over the course of Cologne’s five-day trade show. The tournament will be broadcast in four languages (Chinese, German, Russian, and English) free of charge. The winning team will receive $1 million. “The International is the first public Dota 2 event and will give the tens of millions of gamers playing Dota around the world their first look at the new game,” said Gabe Newell, president and founder of Valve. “I have had the good fortune to watch the competitors as they prepare for the tournament, and the level of play is extraordinary.”
Dota 2 will be available for the PC and Mac later this year.

Well i am pretty sure that most of you already know UT3 Engine sdk (UDK) are available for everyone, that’s right, theorically everyone now has the power to make games like Gears of War 2..
This means modders can publish (free or commercial) their mods, or startin from scratch create a brand new game! I browsed the net and found this interesting projects.. and you? Do you plan on making a game with UDK?
